The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohammed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from De Noteboom.
Mohammed delivers a nice body kick.
Mohammed throws a wild body kick that De Noteboom sees coming a mile off.
De Noteboom shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mohammed counters with a body kick.
De Noteboom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Abdi Wali Mohammed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo De Noteboom.
Mohammed throws a low kick but De Noteboom avoids it.
Mohammed swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by De Noteboom.

De Noteboom fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mohammed avoids it really well and circles away.

Mohammed will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
De Noteboom looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mohammed.
Mohammed looks for the body kick but De Noteboom saw that one coming.
Mohammed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and De Noteboom counters with a takedown into side control.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
De Noteboom lands an elbow.
Mohammed prevents De Noteboom from improving position.
De Noteboom passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mohammed!

Mohammed is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
De Noteboom throws some wild stikes that Mohammed manages to avoid easily.
Mohammed is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Mohammed tries to buck De Noteboom off but he can't manage it.
De Noteboom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
