Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arvin Kumar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suave Ripkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arvin Kumar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Suave Ripkin!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumar throws a sloppy head kick and Ripkin moves out of range easily.
Ripkin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kumar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ripkin somewhat.

It looks like Suave Ripkin has been cut.

Ripkin moves into range and clinches up with Kumar.
Ripkin jumps guard but Kumar stands there with Ripkin around his waist. Ripkin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kumar lands an elbow inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Ripkin is trying to push Kumar away but Kumar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kumar gets underhooks to prevent Ripkin's takedown attempt.
Arvin Kumar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Suave Ripkin.

Ripkin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kumar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kumar shoots in for a double leg but Ripkin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kumar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ripkin sprawls well. Ripkin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kumar gets slowly back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kumar misses with a takedown attempt - Ripkin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kumar shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripkin sprawls well. He's pushed Kumar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arvin Kumar will probably get the nod.

Ripkin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kumar shoots in and drives through. Ripkin sprawls well.

Ripkin gets to his feet. Kumar looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Arvin Kumar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Horrible takedown by Kumar or perhaps it was just good defense by Ripkin which made him look bad.
Kumar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ripkin tries to avoid it but Kumar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ripkin to the ground. Ripkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ripkin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kumar's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ripkin cracks Kumar with a solid left hand.
Ripkin throws a strike but Kumar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ripkin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kumar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Suave Ripkin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ripkin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
