Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anu Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vipharath Sananikone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anu Saukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vipharath Sananikone!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sananikone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saukko shoots in for a double leg but Sananikone sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sananikone moves into range and clinches up with Saukko.

Sananikone manages to break the clinch.

Sananikone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Saukko takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Saukko tries to improve position but can't.
Sananikone cracks Saukko with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Saukko is not content to let Sananikone control the position.

Sananikone stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Saukko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sananikone as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Sananikone. No joy for Saukko on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anu Saukko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sananikone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Sananikone moves into the clinch.
Saukko is breathing heavily.
Sananikone lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Sananikone wants the takedown. Saukko is fighting it off but Sananikone persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Saukko's guard against the cage.

Sananikone stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Sananikone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saukko swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sananikone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sananikone takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sananikone is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sananikone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Saukko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sananikone is nestled in close to Saukko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sananikone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Sananikone wants to stand up but Saukko has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Saukko tries to get to full guard but Sananikone has control of the leg.

Sananikone stands up and beckons Saukko to join him on the feet.

Saukko gets caught flat footed, as Sananikone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Saukko is looking for a triangle but Sananikone pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sananikone is in close to Saukko's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saukko has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sananikone doesn't defend quickly enough and Saukko has managed to lock this one up! Can Sananikone escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Saukko on a fantastic submission victory.
