Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens comes to the cage accompanied by River Below. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Impaler misses with an uppercut. Bruens saw that one coming.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bruens enables Impaler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bruens manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Bruens.
