Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Madaras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyros Sisyphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madaras comes to the cage accompanied by "Not Falling" - Mudvayne. Sisyphus has chosen Waters of Nazareth - Justice as his entrance music. Kyros Sisyphus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Madaras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyros Sisyphus!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sisyphus misses with a low kick as Madaras jumps back.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sisyphus checks a leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Sisyphus blocks the low kick.
Sisyphus ducks under a wild hook from Madaras.
Sisyphus thows a left - swing and a miss!
Madaras looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sisyphus will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Sisyphus shoots for a double leg takedown but Madaras sprawls well. He's pushed Sisyphus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Madaras throws a hook but Sisyphus avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sisyphus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kyros Sisyphus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madaras lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
David Madaras is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Madaras connects with a looping right hand.
Madaras uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sisyphus.
Sisyphus throws a lazy uppercut
and Madaras counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Sisyphus misses the target.
Sisyphus throws a hook to the side of Madaras's head but Madaras sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Madaras looks to land a combination but Sisyphus avoids it well.
Sisyphus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Madaras.
Sisyphus tries for a takedown but Madaras sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Madaras throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Sisyphus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sisyphus drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Madaras dives on top into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sisyphus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Madaras defends well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sisyphus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Madaras can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Madaras won't allow Sisyphus to sweep him here.

Sisyphus is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Madaras rolls with it to try and escape but Sisyphus cranks on the arm and Madaras is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kyros Sisyphus!
After winning the bout, Kyros Sisyphus thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
