And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Saggot!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Ryan. That's going to slow Saggot down.

It looks like Bob Saggot has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ryan drops Saggot with a beautiful combination! Saggot stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ryan is looking for the KO!

Ryan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ryan throws a series of punches but Saggot avoids them all with ease.
Ryan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saggot circles away quickly and effectively.

Saggot throws a hook to the side of Ryan's head but Ryan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Saggot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ryan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saggot somewhat.

Saggot darts in and clinches Ryan up against the cage.

Saggot has Ryan pressed against the cage, preventing Ryan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Saggot goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ryan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Saggot's guard! Nice work there by Ryan!
Ryan wants to get up but he can't break Saggot's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Saggot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ryan is aware though and is defending well.

Ryan stands and steps away. Saggot gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Don Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Saggot.

Ryan is trying to stand up here but Saggot is controlling him well.
Ryan is breathing heavily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
