Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lawrance Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin has chosen Downstait - This Is My Life as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Martin!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin dives in and grabs Adams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Adams pushes down on Martin's head and hops out.
Martin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Adams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Martin digs a good hook to Adams's body.
Martin misses with a jab, cross combination.

Martin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Martin lands in his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Martin passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Martin is trying to get an arm triangle but Adams is defending well.
Martin wants to control but Adams is keeping him busy.

Martin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adams, who protects the arm well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Martin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Martin decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Adams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Some wild striking there from Adams.
Martin throws a sloppy head kick and Adams moves out of range easily.
Adams looks to land a combination but Martin avoids it well.
Adams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Martin.
Martin misses with a double jab.

Martin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adams, pushing him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Adams manages to break the clinch.
Some wild striking there from Adams.
Martin shoots in but no luck this time.
Adams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Adams sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lawrance Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Martin.
Adams swings for the body but Martin moves out of range.
Martin misses with a takedown attempt - Adams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Adams enables Martin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Adams manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Martin is keen to just control but Adams is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Adams reverses the position - he's now on top in Martin's guard.
Martin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Adams rolls with it to try and escape but Martin cranks on the arm and Adams is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
