And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sievinen scores a takedown into full mount!
Van Den Berg is desperately trying to improve his position but Sievinen has a good base and remains in mount.
Sievinen working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Sievinen controlling the pace for now.
Van Den Berg tries to hold on but Sievinen pushes him away.
Sievinen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Van Den Berg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sievinen wants to finish this one by submission but Van Den Berg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sievinen.

Sievinen with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Sievinen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Sievinen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joonatan Sievinen.
Van Den Berg tries to clinch up.
Sievinen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sievinen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Van Den Berg throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Van Den Berg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sievinen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sievinen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Van Den Berg's head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sievinen misses with a series of wild punches.
Joonatan Sievinen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Van Den Berg closes the distance but Sievinen moves to the side

and Sievinen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Van Den Berg won't be happy with that.

Sievinen cracks Van Den Berg with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Joonatan Sievinen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sievinen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Van Den Berg sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Van Den Berg is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sievinen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A lull in the action here as Sievinen stalls from top position.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Van Den Berg is looking to regain half guard here but Sievinen keeps moving and retains side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joonatan Sievinen.
Van Den Berg is looking to land body kicks.
Sievinen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Van Den Berg throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Sievinen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sievinen passes to side control.
Sievinen staying calm.
Van Den Berg defending against the ground and pound.

Van Den Berg wants to control but Sievinen postures up.
Van Den Berg trying to remain calm as Sievinen controls from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sievinen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Van Den Berg to the mat! Van Den Berg manages to get full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sievinen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Den Berg is trying to control the position but Sievinen postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joonatan Sievinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sievinen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Van Den Berg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sievinen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Sievinen has an Americana. Van Den Berg didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sievinen is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sievinen hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
