Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Poppy misses with a leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Poppy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paul has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paul and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Paul keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Poppy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Paul's guard.
Paul is breathing heavily.
Poppy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Paul keeping moving, preventing Poppy from controlling successfully.
Paul being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Poppy.
Paul moves out of range of the leg kick from Poppy.
Paul just misses with a punch to the body.
Poppy misses with a low kick.
Justin Paul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Poppy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Poppy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Poppy pushing down on Paul's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Poppy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Paul sees it coming and defends easily.
Paul on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Paul tries to get out of the position.
Poppy is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Paul is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Poppy! Nick Poppy retains his heavyweight title!
