Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Cascara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lionel Cascara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Costas!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A lazy body kick from Costas
and Cascara counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cascara avoids the head kick by Costas.
Cascara looks to land a combination but Costas avoids it well.
Costas steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cascara. That one must have hurt.

Cascara drives through and clinches with Costas against the cage.
Costas is looking for a takedown.
Cascara lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Costas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cascara after a bit of a struggle.

Cascara is trying to trip Costas. He has hold of a leg but Costas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cascara persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Costas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Costas will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cascara controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Costas tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lionel Cascara.
Cascara moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Cascara lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Costas at a distance.
Costas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Costas tries for a takedown but Cascara circles away easily
and Cascara counters with a series of strikes. Costas will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lionel Cascara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Costas.

Cascara dives in and scores a takedown into Costas's guard.

Cascara is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Costas is striking off his back. Cascara thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Cascara moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Costas.
Costas on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Cascara in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Cascara lands a nice forearm strike.

Costas is rocked!
Cascara cracks Costas with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Costas is still in real trouble! Can Cascara finish him?

Cascara wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Costas, who protects the arm well.
Cascara cracks Costas with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Cascara immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Costas is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Cascara!
