Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Plamen Todorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Takashi Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todorov shoots in for a takedown but Yamamoto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Todorov fails with the takedown.
Todorov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamamoto but Yamamoto pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Yamamoto digs a right hand underneath Todorov's ribcage. Todorov let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Yamamoto.
Todorov is working for takedown but Yamamoto is calmly controlling the position for now.
Todorov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yamamoto just stands there and leans against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Yamamoto - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Todorov jumps guard but Yamamoto turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Yamamoto scores with a shoulder strike.
Yamamoto is looking to take this one to the mat.
Todorov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Yamamoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Yamamoto creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Todorov's defenses.
Come on Yamamoto - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Plamen Todorov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Todorov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Yamamoto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Todorov, pushing him back against the cage.

Todorov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yamamoto napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Todorov gets tackled into the cage by Yamamoto. Yamamoto maintains the clinch.

Yamamoto is pushing Todorov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Todorov is trying to drag Yamamoto to the mat but Yamamoto just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Todorov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yamamoto is fending him off so far but Todorov persists. Nope, Yamamoto circles away and we're back to standing.

Yamamoto will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Todorov up against the cage.

Well Yamamoto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Takashi Yamamoto was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
