Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elias Paniki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and San Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elias Paniki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, San Miguel!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paniki misses with a head kick.
Miguel is looking to land body kicks.
Paniki misses with a body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Miguel.
Paniki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Miguel throws a sloppy head kick and Paniki moves out of range easily.
Miguel lands a really nice looking cross but Paniki seems unphased.
Miguel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
San Miguel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paniki is breathing heavily.
Miguel tries to land a front kick but Paniki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Paniki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Miguel tries to clinch up.
Paniki avoids a kick to the body.
Miguel misses with a body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paniki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Miguel fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Miguel has closed the distance and engaged Paniki in a clinch.
Miguel misses with a punch to the body.
Miguel working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Miguel throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Miguel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miguel lands an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Miguel.
Miguel lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paniki backwards.
Paniki's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Miguel lands a body shot.
Miguel works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miguel breaks the clinch.
Paniki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Miguel lands with a nice body kick.
Paniki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Miguel throws a front kick that sends Paniki stumbling back into the cage.
Paniki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Paniki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Miguel throws a big shot that misses.
Miguel throws a nice outside leg kick.
Paniki avoids a kick to the body.
Miguel throws a head kick that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miguel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Miguel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Miguel throws a sloppy head kick and Paniki moves out of range easily.
Miguel lands a right hook to the body.
A cross from Miguel lands.
Miguel thumps Paniki with a low kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Paniki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miguel - the referee stops the clock and Paniki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miguel. Paniki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Miguel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Paniki. That did some damage!
Paniki takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Paniki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miguel - the referee stops the clock and Paniki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miguel. Paniki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Paniki takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Miguel cracks Paniki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miguel throws a quick inside leg kick.
Miguel doesn't manage to clinch there - Paniki circles away.
Miguel scores with a jab to the body.

Miguel clinches up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

San Miguel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Nice body punch from Miguel.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miguel.

Miguel rushes Paniki and presses him up against the cage.
Paniki is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Miguel lands an uppercut.
Miguel lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Paniki will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Miguel.
Miguel lands a left hand.
Miguel has a couple of punches blocked by Paniki.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miguel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Miguel digs a right hand underneath Paniki's ribcage. Paniki let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Miguel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miguel throws a body kick that misses.
Paniki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Miguel connects with an inside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miguel looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Miguel has Paniki up against the cage in a clinch.
Paniki takes a shot to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miguel lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paniki backwards.
Still in the clinch, Miguel scores with a nice short uppercut.


Paniki is rocked!

Miguel breaks the clinch.
Oh Paniki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
San Miguel seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Miguel throws a sloppy head kick and Paniki moves out of range easily.
Miguel lands a jab to Paniki's midsection.
Paniki takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Paniki seems to have got his legs back now.
Whack! Miguel lands a heavy head kick that drops Paniki. The ref tackles Miguel to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Paniki was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). San Miguel!
During a confident post fight interview, San Miguel thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
