The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ismailov swivels and escapes.
Ismailov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Valera.
Valera misses with a takedown attempt
and Ismailov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Valera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Valera pushes a forearm under Ismailov's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ismailov is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
