The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushkar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hayes shoots for a double leg takedown but Pushkar sprawls well. He's pushed Hayes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pushkar moves into the clinch successfully.
Hayes has had enough of the clinch but Pushkar keeps him there for the moment.
Pushkar tries to score a body lock takedown but Hayes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pushkar has Hayes pressed against the cage, preventing Hayes from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hayes stalling in the clinch but Pushkar improves position.
Hayes is pressed up against the cage. Pushkar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hayes down to the mat. Hayes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Pushkar is trying to pull guard but Hayes has him pressed against the cage.

Hayes is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Pushkar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hayes tries to throw a body punch but Pushkar avoids it by throwing Hayes back against the cage.
Pushkar tries to pull guard but Hayes forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Pushkar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hayes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pushkar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hayes blocks a head kick by Pushkar.

Pushkar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pushkar not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Pushkar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Pushkar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hayes is just riding it out for now. Pushkar eventually gives up the hold.
