PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Higgs Boson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Higgs Boson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Higgs Boson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hong tries to sprawl out of it but Boson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hong scoring well with a low kick there.
Boson lands a jab to Hong's midsection.
Boson fails to land with a series of punches.

Boson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hong did well to prevent Boson getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hong has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hong on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boson is looking for a kimura but Hong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Boson to get the leverage.

Hong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boson's back!
Boson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boson tries to roll but Hong sticks to his back.

Hong gets back to his feet - a bit of a stange decision given the position he was in.
Hong goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hong. Boson shrugs it off though.

The fighters circling - Hong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
