Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Towns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artimus Acacius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Towns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Towns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Artimus Acacius!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acacius shoots in for a double leg but Towns sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Towns fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Acacius on the side of the head.

Towns gets tackled into the cage by Acacius. Acacius maintains the clinch.
Towns digs a right hand into Acacius's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Acacius's gas tank.
Towns stalling.
Acacius fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Towns lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Towns lands with a light punch inside.
Towns stalling in the clinch.
Towns is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Acacius is trying to drag Towns to the mat but Towns just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jack Towns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artimus Acacius.
Towns's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Towns stops a takedown attempt from Acacius.

Towns breaks the clinch.
Acacius throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Towns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acacius throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Acacius misses with a straight right.
Towns misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Towns comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Towns tries to sprawl but Acacius drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Towns is looking to improve his position.
Towns trying to control here.
Towns is refusing to be controlled, as Acacius sits in half guard.
Towns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Acacius on the ground.
Acacius scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Acacius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Towns doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Acacius.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Acacius thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Towns's head.
Towns is staying active underneath Acacius, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Acacius looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Acacius trying to control from half guard but Towns is working away.
Acacius not doing much here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Towns is not content to let Acacius control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Artimus Acacius wasn't active enough on the ground.
Towns stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Towns wants it to stay on the feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Towns.
Towns blocks a jab.
Acacius throws a jab but it's blocked by Towns.

Acacius scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Acacius trying to control the action but Towns is working from the bottom.
Towns can't do much from the bottom here.
Towns is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Acacius is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee asks Acacius politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Acacius prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Acacius is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Towns has escaped the position, nice work there.
Towns throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Acacius throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Acacius in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Towns can't do much from the bottom here.

Acacius looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Acacius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Towns keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Artimus Acacius dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Acacius.
Towns lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Acacius goes down and covers up as Towns starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Towns!
