Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roque Barretto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabian Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barretto's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Last Man Standing - By 4ft Fingers. Fabian Cameron has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roque Barretto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Fabian Cameron!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Barretto misses.
Cameron misses with a shot to the body
and Barretto counters with a leg kick.
Cameron fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barretto avoids it really well and circles away.
Cameron misses with a left hand
and Barretto counters with a thumping low kick.
Fabian Cameron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cameron scores with a hook to the body. Barretto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Barretto moves away from the strike by Cameron.

Cameron closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cameron lands in his opponent's guard.

Barretto is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cameron trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Cameron has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Barretto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barretto manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Barretto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cameron tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Cameron is squirming around, avoiding Barretto's attempts to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Roque Barretto wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cameron misses with a body shot
and Barretto counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Cameron is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Cameron shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Barretto pulls Cameron in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barretto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cameron slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Barretto is looking for a sweep.
Cameron has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Barretto is working hard here to advance position.
Cameron trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Barretto bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cameron has his foot on Barretto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barretto works his way back into a safe position though.
Cameron not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Roque Barretto will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cameron misses with a takedown attempt - Barretto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Barretto moves out of range of the strikes.
Cameron just misses with a punch to the body.
Barretto tries to clinch but Cameron is having none of it.
Barretto lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Barretto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cameron manages to avoid it.
Barretto lands a nice shot to the body.
Barretto tries a head kick but it misses.
Barretto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Cameron counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Cameron misses with a body shot.
Cameron swings widly with a right hand
and Barretto counters with a leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Cameron checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Barretto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cameron avoids the head kick by Barretto.

Barretto gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cameron to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cameron is looking to work some ground and pound but Barretto has wrist control.

Cameron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cameron is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cameron looking to break Barretto's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Barretto remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cameron will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cameron looking to hold on to the position here but Barretto rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Fabian Cameron showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Barretto throws out a leg kick but Cameron moves out of range and Barretto only half commits.

and Barretto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cameron thinking.
Barretto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Barretto throws a nice looking combination but Cameron bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Barretto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Barretto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cameron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barretto's waist but Barretto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cameron off to one side.

Cameron misses with a wild body shot.
Barretto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barretto ducks under a wild hook from Cameron.
Barretto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cameron scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Fabian Cameron has got the better of the ground game so far.
Barretto is looking for a sweep. Cameron is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Barretto is controlling Cameron's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Cameron looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Barretto is adopting a defensive guard.
Cameron seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barretto is looking to stand up but Cameron isn't so interested in that idea.

Cameron is looking to take a break and control but Barretto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Barretto wants to control but Cameron postures up.
Cameron wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barretto keeps working.
Cameron cracks Barretto with a big right hand but Barretto just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cameron is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barretto has escaped the position, nice work there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Barretto's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fabian Cameron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cameron has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
