The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Down misses with a double jab.
Malinkovikh looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Down drives through with a takedown into guard.
Down is in close to Malinkovikh's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Down passes into half guard.
Malinkovikh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Down lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Down winds up and cracks Malinkovikh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Malinkovikh is in trouble now - Down has advanced to mount!
Malinkovikh seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Down scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Malinkovikh?
Down postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Malinkovikh badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Down around the waist but Down pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Down is the winner by TKO! Down jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
