Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Vallenfyre - Iconoclast. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Stroud!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Martin but Martin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Martin shoots in but Stroud avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Martin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stroud tests Martin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Martin fails to land the takedown.
Stroud throws a series of punches but Martin avoids them all with ease.
Stroud throws a left and a right that both miss

and Martin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Stroud is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Martin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Stroud lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Stroud has Martin pressed against the cage, preventing Martin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Martin tries to pull guard but Stroud forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Martin jumps guard and drags Stroud to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stroud throws an elbow that misses. Martin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stroud's guard. Nice move by Martin!
Stroud manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stroud cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Martin wants to hold on but Stroud pushes him away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stroud lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stroud cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stroud blocks Martin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Martin is looking to improve his position but Stroud isn't that keen on the idea.
Martin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Stroud has Martin pulled in close to control his posture.
Martin is looking to work some ground and pound but Stroud has wrist control.
Martin is stalling in the full guard.

Martin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stroud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stroud pulls Martin in close to his closed guard and prevents Martin from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stroud keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stroud lands with a right hand.
Martin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stroud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A big left from Martin misses.
Martin shoots in looking for a takedown but Stroud manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Martin moves out of range of the leg kick from Stroud.
Dean Martin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Stroud, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Stroud escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stroud scores with a hook to the body. Martin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Stroud throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Martin counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Stroud thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Dean Martin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Martin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Martin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Stroud pushes Martin off and gets back to his feet.

Martin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Stroud tries to sprawl but Martin drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Martin wants to control from the top but Stroud keeps moving.
Martin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Stroud controls Martin momentarily but Martin frees himself.
Martin wants to stand and escape but instead Stroud has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Stroud stands up over Martin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Martin pulls Stroud in close to prevent any damage.
Stroud lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close second round but Tom Stroud will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stroud moves away.
Stroud scores with a jab to the jaw.
Stroud misses with a two punch combination.
Stroud with a nice cross.


Martin is rocked!
Stroud stuffs the takedown.
Oh Martin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stroud lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Martin falls backwards - clearly groggy! Stroud dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Stroud!
Tom Stroud seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
