Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Condit had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit avoids the head kick by Humphrey.

Humphrey shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Humphrey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Condit is in trouble now - Humphrey has advanced to mount!
Humphrey pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Condit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Humphrey on the ground.
Humphrey is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Humphrey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Humphrey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Humphrey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Condit looks a forlorn figure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Let's hope that Humphrey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Condit looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Humphrey! Submission of the night perhaps?
