The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin tries to close the distance and clinch but Massive swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Putin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Putin wants to get back to his feet.
Massive gets back to full guard.
Putin tries to free his leg and advance position but Massive is retaining full guard.
Massive throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Massive looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Massive wants to sweep here but Putin controlling him for the moment.
Putin stands and steps away. Massive gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Putin has managed to clinch.
Massive is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Putin pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Massive tries for a takedown. No joy.
Massive is trying to trip Putin. He has hold of a leg but Putin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Massive persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Massive is sitting in close to Putin's body. Putin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Massive is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Massive is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Putin.
