Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beno Gruffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maxwell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sonne - Rammstein. Beno Gruffo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ross Maxwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Beno Gruffo!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gruffo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Maxwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gruffo's waist but Gruffo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maxwell off to one side.
Maxwell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gruffo avoids it really well and circles away.
Gruffo lands a really nice looking cross but Maxwell seems unphased.
Gruffo misses with an uppercut.
Gruffo is looking to score with low kicks.
Gruffo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Maxwell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maxwell stops Gruffo from getting back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maxwell is thwarting Gruffo's attempts to control the position.
Gruffo has a hand on Maxwell's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Maxwell takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Gruffo wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Gruffo tries to hold on but Maxwell postures up.

Maxwell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gruffo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Maxwell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gruffo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Maxwell.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maxwell sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Maxwell lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gruffo hang on?
Gruffo wants to control but Maxwell is having none of it.
Maxwell won't let Gruffo get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Maxwell scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Gruffo is rocked!
Maxwell drops a big elbow. That's hurt Gruffo! More shots from Maxwell and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
