Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Neil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Picket !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neil shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neil looking to control but Picket is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Picket is working to get back to half guard.
Picket avoids a series of strikes thrown by Neil.
Neil wants to control the pace but Picket is squirming around nicely.
Neil misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Picket is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Neil misses with a head shot.
Poor strikes thrown by Neil there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neil jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Picket is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Picket and Neil has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Neil is looking to take a break and control but Picket is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Picket is trying to get back to half guard.
Neil throwing strikes but Picket manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Picket goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Neil rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Picket 's guard! Nice work there by Neil!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neil postures up in Picket 's guard and throws a big left but Picket blocks it.
Neil wants to pass the guard but Picket is keeping the position.
Picket being controlled here, momentarily.
Neil throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Picket works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Neil loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neil looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Neil wants to control from the top but Picket keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Craig Neil.

Neil throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Picket was covering up waiting for the punch and Neil finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Neil trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neil trying to control the position from guard on top but Picket is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Picket can't keep his opponent in guard - Neil advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Neil is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Picket defends it well.

Neil is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Picket keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Craig Neil dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Picket manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Neil on his heels. He'll look to pass Neil's guard now, I'm sure.
Picket won't allow Neil to sweep him here.
Picket advances position into side control!
Neil is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Picket off and has taken his back!
Neil missing with strikes from the back.
Picket has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Neil.

Picket is trying to defend against the choke here but Neil has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Neil Tightens the hold and Picket taps out furiously! Neil displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Craig Neil!
