The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stalks McPuncherton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McPuncherton's face. McPuncherton staggers backwards, shaken.
Jones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jones tries to work over McPuncherton's front leg with a kick but McPuncherton checks it.
Jones moves to clinch but McPuncherton breaks away
and McPuncherton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones misses with a double jab
and McPuncherton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
McPuncherton misses with a series of wild punches.
McPuncherton jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jones throws a combination that misses
and McPuncherton counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jones is breathing heavily.
McPuncherton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands.

McPuncherton scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Jones to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
Jones tries to get into range but McPuncherton steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Jones! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! McPuncherton scores the big KO victory!
