The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Sims with that takedown attempt.
Sims shoots in but The Bar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The Bar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The Bar listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

The Bar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sims!

Sims is rocked!
The Bar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sims hang on?
Sims is still in real trouble! Can The Bar finish him?

The Bar looking for a guillotine from mount but Sims is having none of it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The Bar controlling from the full mount.
The referee warns Sims that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sims is in all sorts of trouble here.

The Bar wants to finish this one by submission but Sims is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from The Bar.

Sims seems to have recovered his senses.
The Bar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The Bar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sims can't escape the position.
The Bar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Billy The Bar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Sims tries to keep at a distance but The Bar has taken the fight into the clinch.
The Bar is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The Bar is pressed up against the cage. Sims has hold of a leg and is looking to drag The Bar down to the mat. The Bar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Billy The Bar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Sims.

The Bar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sims tries to get to full guard but The Bar has control of the leg.
Sims moves into full guard.

Sims working for a triangle but The Bar defends it easily.
Sims trying to keep a closed guard but The Bar is proving a slippery customer.
The Bar is fighting to break Sims's control of his arms but Sims is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Sims is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The Bar wants to control from the top but Sims keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! The Bar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sims tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sims tries to land a front kick but The Bar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
It's a brutal combination of punches from The Bar! Sims is backing up but he can't get away as The Bar lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Sims and ends the fight. Great knockout.
