Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz's corner calls for a 1-2. Diaz obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Morgan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Morgan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Morgan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morgan, as that shot connected.
Diaz throws a shot from downtown. Morgan moves away and avoids it.
Diaz misses with a body shot.
Diaz misses with a looping left.
Diaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Donk. Morgan catches Diaz right on the button with a cross.
Morgan lands with a thumping leg kick.
Morgan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Diaz. That did some damage!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morgan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Morgan tries to land a front kick but Diaz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Diaz digs a good body shot into Morgan's ribs.
Morgan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diaz moves away.
Morgan is looking to clinch.
Diaz lands with a shot to the body.
Morgan tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.
Morgan throws a wild body kick that Diaz sees coming a mile off.
Diaz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Diaz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Morgan to the ground. Diaz is now in Morgan's guard.

Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diaz passes Morgan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Diaz performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Diaz uses his free foot to push down on Morgan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Morgan.
Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morgan.
Diaz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Morgan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Morgan lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head.

Morgan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Diaz works Morgan's body with a nice hook.
Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Morgan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Morgan avoids a kick to the body.
Diaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morgan was well out of range. Poor timing from Diaz.
Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Morgan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz.
Diaz misses with a hook. Morgan ducked under it nicely.
Diaz connects with a right hand. Morgan shakes it off.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Morgan - that will leave a mark!

Morgan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morgan wants to clinch.
Morgan just misses with a punch to the body.
James Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morgan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A shot to the liver by Diaz. Beautiful body shot.
Diaz misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Diaz dominated that round.

Diaz drops Morgan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Morgan looks back up at him and smiles so Diaz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Morgan is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morgan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Morgan is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?
Morgan gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Diaz gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Morgan is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Diaz!
Nick Diaz looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I think smoking pot is good for mixed martial artists. It’s a new day and age, this is, uh, the year … Fuck year is it? I don’t know, because I’ve been training and smoking pot like I should, instead of paying attention to other bullshit, which I don’t do.'.
