Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mitchell Guzman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chandler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Guzman.

Chandler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Guzman to the ground. Chandler is now in Guzman's guard.
Chandler wants to stand and escape but instead Guzman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Chandler pushes Guzman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Guzman keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Chandler throws a sloppy head kick and Guzman moves out of range easily.

Guzman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Chandler counters with a shoot takedown. Guzman fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guzman is pulling down on Chandler's head. It's preventing any offense from Chandler, at least for the moment.

Guzman pushes Chandler off and gets back to his feet.
Chandler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Guzman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Michael Chandler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitchell Guzman.

Chandler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guzman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Chandler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guzman is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chandler trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Chandler is breathing heavily.

Michael Chandler has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Chandler throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Guzman throws a head kick that misses.

Chandler gets a double leg takedown into Guzman's guard.
Guzman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chandler is one step ahead there.

Guzman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Guzman is looking to control Chandler's arms but Chandler gets an underhook and turns him. Now Guzman has his back to the cage.

Guzman pulls guard.
Chandler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Guzman is trying to control the position but Chandler postures up.
Chandler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Chandler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guzman is proving hard to escape from.
Chandler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guzman on the ground.

The fight stays on the outside here - Guzman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guzman throws a head kick but Chandler moves out of range.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chandler here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Guzman fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chandler checks it well.
Chandler misses with a body kick.
Chandler walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Guzman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Chandler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chandler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Guzman has closed the distance and engaged Chandler in a clinch.

Chandler gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Guzman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Chandler is working to get back to half guard.
Chandler is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Chandler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chandler tries to get out of the position.

Guzman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Guzman wants to control the pace but Chandler is squirming around nicely.
Guzman avoids the attempt from Chandler to control.
Chandler is squirming around, avoiding Guzman's attempts to control the action.
Chandler prevents any damage by holding on tight.

Chandler is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Guzman locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Chandler is forced to tap!
