And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, Humberto Montes!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankutse shoots in and drives through. Montes sprawls well.
Montes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ankutse is looking to clinch but Montes is avoiding it.
Ankutse looks for a takedown but Montes sprawls well.
Ankutse with a poor takedown
and Montes counters with a series of strikes. Ankutse will be more careful next time no doubt.

Montes looks to land a combination but Ankutse avoids it well.
Aadilou Ankutse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ankutse darts in trying to clinch

Montes throws a right hand that Ankutse ducks under and follows up with a left that Ankutse also avoids with ease.
Montes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ankutse swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Montes is now in Ankutse's guard. A big mistake from Ankutse there, giving up the dominant position!

Ankutse had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Montes defends it easily.

Ankutse throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Montes escapes and throws Ankutse's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Ankutse wants to control but Montes postures up.

The referee asks Montes politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Montes prefers to stall for the moment though.
Ankutse manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Aadilou Ankutse overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Montes gets back to full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Montes holds on and takes a little breather.
Montes keeping moving, preventing Ankutse from controlling successfully.

Ankutse drops back, looking for a kneebar! Montes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Montes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Montes!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ankutse is trying to escape the position but Montes is controlling the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Montes delivers a nice body kick.
Montes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Aadilou Ankutse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ankutse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Montes counters with an inside leg kick.

Montes throws a series of punches but Ankutse avoids them all with ease.

Montes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Montes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Humberto Montes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ankutse has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
