Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mousassi Gegard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Beavis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Beavis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beavis misses with a double jab.

Beavis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Beavis is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Gegard wants to get back to his feet but Beavis drags him back down.
Beavis works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Beavis tries to advance to mount but Gegard denies him.
Beavis slows the pace down.

Gegard is looking to get back to his feet here but Beavis is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gegard's back.
Beavis has good solid back control here.

Beavis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gegard defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Gegard is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Gegard wants to get back to his feet.

Beavis biding his time, looking for the opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beavis has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gegard has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Beavis gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gegard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beavis.
Gegard catches Beavis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Kevin Beavis has been cut.
Gegard moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gegard works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gegard throws a low kick, looking for Beavis's leg but Beavis calmly moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beavis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gegard defends it nicely.
Beavis moves out of range as Gegard throws a body kick.
Gegard smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Beavis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Beavis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gegard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gegard thuds his right hand into Beavis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Mousassi Gegard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Beavis.

Beavis punches the canvas rather than the man.
Beavis scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Beavis is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Gegard taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Beavis.
