The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maven will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Maven shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plouman Snr pinned against the cage. Plouman Snr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Plouman Snr fakes the leg kick and cracks Maven in the body.
A head kick misses from Plouman Snr.
Plouman Snr throws a quick inside leg kick.
Plouman Snr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Plouman Snr lands a leg kick that knocks Maven off balance momentarily.
Maven tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Plouman Snr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That kick from Plouman Snr tenderised Maven's leg. Maven is trying to keep his angry face on.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Plouman Snr tries a head kick but it misses.
Plouman Snr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maven has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Maven shoots in and bounces Plouman Snr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Maven decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Plouman Snr, up you get!

Plouman Snr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Maven.
