Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Owen Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oneil closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hardy did well to prevent Oneil getting side control.

Oneil stands up out of the half guard.
Hardy looks to score with a jab to the body but Oneil is just out of range.
Oneil avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hardy. Oneil does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oneil takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hardy throws a looping overhand right but Oneil ducks down to avoid it.

Oneil looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Oneil has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hardy defend it? Oneil steps over the head and cranks it - Hardy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Oneil!

A relieved looking Mickey Oneil thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
