PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chico Lincoln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toro Silva!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lincoln's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Lincoln duly obliges.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Lincoln has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Lincoln pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lincoln tries a head kick but it misses.
Lincoln misses with a two punch combination.
Lincoln pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lincoln tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Lincoln feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Lincoln changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lincoln uses it to pass to side control.
Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lincoln's best efforts.

Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Lincoln sits in half guard.

Lincoln thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Lincoln is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lincoln is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silva is looking to control Lincoln's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
Silva won't allow Lincoln to pass to mount.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lincoln tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
Lincoln is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lincoln looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A head kick misses from Lincoln.
Lincoln tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lincoln wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.

Chico Lincoln has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toro Silva.
Silva looks gassed!
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Lincoln does no damage.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lincoln as he avoids it easily.
Lincoln doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Chico Lincoln seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lincoln tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lincoln moves into the clinch successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva prevents a takedown attempt there.
Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lincoln avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lincoln breaks the clinch.
Lincoln throws a front kick aimed at Silva's knee but Silva avoids it well.
Lincoln fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lincoln doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Lincoln shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Silva performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lincoln wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lincoln tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Silva has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Silva won't let Lincoln get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Silva prevents Lincoln from getting the reversal.
Lincoln gets back to half guard.
Lincoln trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Lincoln gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chico Lincoln dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Lincoln moves into the clinch successfully.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lincoln with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Lincoln wants to break free but Silva has control.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Lincoln gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.

Lincoln breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lincoln shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lincoln!
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lincoln is looking to escape.
Lincoln is in all sorts of trouble here.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva avoids the attempt from Lincoln to control.

Lincoln tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Lincoln shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lincoln lands a head kick. Silva smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lincoln tries to clinch

and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Silva jumps guard but Lincoln stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lincoln lands a knee to the head.
Lincoln tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Silva jumps guard but Lincoln stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Lincoln shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Lincoln avoids the elbow strike from Silva, against the cage.

Silva looking for a takedown.
Lincoln lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lincoln throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva blocks it with crossed arms.
Lincoln on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lincoln gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lincoln is trying to stall.

Lincoln escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lincoln clinches but Silva breaks the clinch

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lincoln to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silva is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lincoln pulls down on the head and he's put Silva to sleep! This one is all over!
