Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lleyton Stiels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiels has chosen Breakdown by breaking Benjamin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lleyton Stiels has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lleyton Stiels!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stiels has managed to clinch.
Jackson missing with knees to the body.
Stiels unloads a knee to the mid-section.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Stiels just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jackson's brow.
Jackson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jackson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jackson avoiding damage as Stiels throws knees to the body.
Stiels lands a nice knee to the body.
Stiels has Jackson pushed against the cage.
Stiels lands a damaging elbow.
Jackson misses with a punch to the body.
Stiels crunches a lovely knee into Jackson's ribcage.
Stiels managing to block the knees to the body from Jackson.
Jackson goes for a takedown attempt but Stiels pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jackson tries to break the clinch but Stiels is controlling the position.
Jackson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stiels avoiding damage as Jackson throws knees to the body.
Stiels holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Jackson tries to work over Stiels's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Stiels is struggling to control the position.
Still in the clinch, Stiels scores with a nice short uppercut.
Jackson struggles to land a body shot inside as Stiels controls his hands.

Stiels has picked Jackson up - he's going for a ride! Stiels dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stiels wants to stand but Jackson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Stiels is just content to waste time from the top position. Jackson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Stiels tries to stand but Jackson is controlling from the bottom.
Stiels loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson has his feet on Stiels's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stiels counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jackson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Stiels. Stiels maintains the clinch.
Jackson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jackson can't find room to land a body shot as Stiels controls the action.
Jackson misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Stiels has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stiels breaks the clinch.

Stiels gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Stiels manages to retain guard.
Jackson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stiels works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jackson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jackson prevents Stiels from getting back to his feet.

Jackson gets to his feet. Stiels looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Stiels clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
Stiels is trying to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson tries to land knees in the clinch but Stiels avoids the damage to the body.

Stiels has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jackson is trying to keep an underhook but Stiels manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson.
Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jackson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Stiels would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jackson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Stiels comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Jackson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stiels closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage.

Jackson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Jackson is trying to pull guard but Stiels turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Stiels is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jackson can't fight it off and eventually Stiels manages to take the fight to the floor. Jackson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jay Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jackson misses with a hook to the ribs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stiels manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Stiels lands an elbow inside that Jackson shrugs off.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Stiels is controlling the position.

Stiels has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jackson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Stiels tries to get the hooks in deep but Jackson pushed the leg off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Stiels tries to control but Jackson wriggling away.
Stiels might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lleyton Stiels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Stiels takes one to the chin there.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stiels sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Stiels slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Both fighters circling a little - Stiels finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Stiels darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.
Jackson working hard to break the clinch.
Jackson lands with a short shot to the head.
Jackson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jackson stalling in the clinch but Stiels improves position.

Stiels wants to get back to striking at distance but Jackson won't allow it.

Jackson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stiels.
Stiels gets through Jackson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Stiels lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jackson is trying to stand up here but Stiels is controlling him well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson tries to roll over but Stiels keeps him under control.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.

Jackson has one foot on Stiels's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Stiels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Stiels throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jackson because Stiels loaded up on that one.

Lleyton Stiels is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Stiels content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stiels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jackson wants to get back to full guard.
Stiels trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jackson is trying to stand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lleyton Stiels hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lleyton Stiels.
I've got Stiels winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
