The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folsom defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Folsom can pounce on him.
Folsom leaves Thomas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Thomas has taken the fight to the clinch.

Thomas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Folsom pushes down on Thomas's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Folsom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Folsom prevents Thomas from improving his position.
Thomas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thomas tries to get out of the position.

Thomas is staying active underneath Folsom, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Folsom thows a huge punch but Thomas dodges it nicely.
Thomas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Folsom is keen to just control but Thomas is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Xavier Folsom has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Folsom, pushing him back against the cage.
Folsom scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Nice elbow from Folsom.

Thomas manages to break the clinch.
Folsom throws a leg kick which misses Thomas's front leg but catches the back leg as Thomas tries to avoid it.
Xavier Folsom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Thomas on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Thomas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Folsom. Folsom obviously looking to wear him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Folsom.

Folsom lands with a right hand.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Folsom knocks Thomas out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
