The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamos feints a jab promting Jones to slip. Stamos then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jones slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Game Time Jones has been cut.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Stamos has wrist control.

Jones distracts Stamos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jones is working Stamos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones passes Stamos's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Stamos is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.

Stamos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.

Stamos is rocked!
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stamos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Stamos is still in real trouble! Can Jones finish him?

Jones lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Stamos quite badly. Stamos pulls Jones in close trying to recover. Jones postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Stamos on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Stamos doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
