Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iron Spirit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iron Spirit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Amsterdam!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amsterdam works Spirit's body with a nice hook.
Amsterdam throws a leg kick
and Spirit counters with a left and a right that stings Amsterdam.

Spirit feints and as Amsterdam raises his hands in defense, Spirit changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Spirit stands and throws Amsterdam's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Amsterdam is letting Spirit control him for a moment.
Spirit tries to advance to mount but Amsterdam denies him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A lull in the action here.
Spirit works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spirit controlling the position.
Spirit trying to control the action but Amsterdam is working from the bottom.
Amsterdam is looking for a sweep.
Amsterdam struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spirit throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ground and pound from Spirit seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Amsterdam is looking to regain half guard here but Spirit keeps moving and retains side control.
Amsterdam gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Amsterdam looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Still in half guard, Spirit seems content to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spirit landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Amsterdam has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spirit is working away from the top position though.
Spirit not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Spirit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Amsterdam does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Spirit keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Spirit looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spirit passes to full mount!
Amsterdam regains half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spirit is looking to take a break and control but Amsterdam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Iron Spirit just wasn't active enough.

Spirit has Amsterdam up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Iron Spirit dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Spirit misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Spirit looking to score a takedown here. Amsterdam is defending well but Spirit drives through and ends up in Amsterdam's guard.
Amsterdam should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Spirit stands up from Amsterdam's guard - Spirit perhaps looking for a knockout.
Amsterdam slaps away a takedown attempt from Spirit, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Amsterdam cracks Spirit with a good jab.
Amsterdam smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Amsterdam lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Amsterdam has eaten all the pies!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Spirit tries to move into range but Amsterdam moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Iron Spirit has been cut.
Amsterdam checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Amsterdam lands a big head kick that sends Spirit tumbling to the mat! Amsterdam takes a step backwards and waves Spirit back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Spirit is rocked!
Johnny Amsterdam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spirit circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Amsterdam. Spirit falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Amsterdam!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johnny Amsterdam!
