Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Povidlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Voorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Povidlo's entrance music is NSVL. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voorn closes the distance and clinches.
Povidlo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Voorn pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Povidlo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Povidlo manages to end up in side control.
Povidlo takes a little break here. Voorn wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Voorn is not content to let Povidlo control the position.
Voorn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Povidlo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Povidlo stands up from mount. Strange move.
Povidlo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Voorn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Voorn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Povidlo.

Voorn clinches up with Povidlo and pushes him back against the cage.

Voorn gets control of Povidlo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Voorn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Povidlo is defended easily by Voorn.
Voorn shoots in but Povidlo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Povidlo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Voorn on his heels. He'll look to pass Voorn's guard now, I'm sure.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Povidlo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Voorn off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Povidlo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Voorn avoids it really well and circles away.

Povidlo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Povidlo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
