Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Trumps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trumps comes to the cage accompanied by Jay Z - Money, Cash, Hoes. Clark comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lamb of God- One Gun kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Trumps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Clark!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trumps fails with the takedown
and Clark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Trumps throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clark's waist but Clark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trumps off to one side.
Clark swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Trumps throws a head kick that misses.
Trumps tries a head kick but it misses.
Trumps tries a head kick but it misses.
Clark avoids the head kick by Trumps.

Trumps gets tackled into the cage by Clark. Clark maintains the clinch.
Clark throws a punch but it's blocked by Trumps.
Trumps trying to land knees to the body.
Clark tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Trumps just stands there and leans against the cage.
Trumps with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Clark goes for a takedown in the clinch but Trumps prevents it.
Clark jumps guard but Trumps stands there with Clark around his waist. Clark gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ian Trumps has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Clark.

Trumps taking a breather.
Clark jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Trumps walks away with a smile on his face. Clark gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A slow jab from Clark misses its intended target.
Clark throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trumps sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Clark misses with a two punch combination.
Clark fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Trumps checks it well.
Trumps displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clark throws out the jab.
Clark fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Trumps on the side of the head.
Trumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Clark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Trumps scores with a head kick.
Trumps looks to score with a jab to the body but Clark is just out of range.
Joe Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Clark drives through and clinches with Trumps against the cage.
Clark drops down looking for an ankle pick but Trumps pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trumps is looking to land body kicks.
Trumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trumps throws a sloppy head kick

and Clark counters by moving into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trumps looking to throw knees to the head but Clark is blocking nicely.
Clark stops a takedown attempt from Trumps.
Trumps prevents the takedown attempt.
Trumps lands a knee to the body.

Trumps has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Clark is trying to keep an underhook but Trumps manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Trumps looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Trumps has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Trumps throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Clark is squirming around, avoiding Trumps's attempts to control the action.
Trumps wants to take Clark's back here but Clark is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Clark tries to hold on but Trumps pushes him away.

Trumps moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Clark has worked his arm free - good work by Clark!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Trumps working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Trumps is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clark prevents Trumps from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ian Trumps dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Trumps throws a sloppy head kick
and Clark counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Trumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trumps steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Clark. That one must have hurt.

Clark closes the distance and clinches.
Trumps leaning his opponent against the cage.
Clark tries to score a body lock takedown but Trumps shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Trumps lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Joe Clark has been cut.
Trumps leaning against his opponent.
Trumps is looking to control Clark's arms but Clark gets an underhook and turns him. Now Trumps has his back to the cage.
Trumps comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Clark pulls guard successfully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trumps stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trumps advances to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trumps is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Clark reverses the position - he's now on top in Trumps's guard.
Clark wants to control from the top but Trumps keeps moving.
Clark controlling from the top position.
Let's hope that Clark has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Trumps looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clark is one step ahead there.
Trumps looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Clark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Trumps is keeping the position for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joe Clark.
Trumps moves out of range of the strikes.
Ian Trumps seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Clark wants to slow Trumps down by chopping away at his legs.
Trumps misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trumps throws a quick inside leg kick.
Trumps misses with an uppercut. Clark saw that one coming.
Trumps pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Trumps tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Trumps.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Trumps lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Clark has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Clark and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Clark jumps guard but Trumps stands there with Clark around his waist. Clark gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Trumps doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Clark is trying to pull guard but Trumps has him pressed against the cage.
Ian Trumps has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Clark.

Clark tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Trumps smiles and moves away.
Trumps throws a sloppy head kick and Clark moves out of range easily.
Trumps throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Clark avoids the head kick by Trumps.
Trumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trumps tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clark paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clark digs a good hook to Trumps's body.
Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trumps moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Clark takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Trumps has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Clark clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ian Trumps will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Joe Clark's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Trumps throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Clark tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Trumps is in Clark's guard.
Trumps wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Trumps trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Trumps trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Ian Trumps wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ian Trumps.

Trumps throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Trumps.
Clark looks to throw the jab but Trumps is out of range.

Clark tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Trumps smiles and moves away.

and Clark counters with a good low kick that Trumps was not able to check.
Clark moves out of range as Trumps throws a body kick.
Clark scores with a jab to the jaw.
Trumps shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clark but Clark pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Trumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Trumps moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.

Clark forces Trumps back against the cage and clinches.

Trumps lands a knee to the head.
Ian Trumps has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Trumps looking to throw knees to the head but Clark is blocking nicely.
Clark jumps guard but Trumps turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Clark wants to break the clinch but can't.
Clark goes for a takedown attempt but Trumps pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ian Trumps showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trumps, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
