Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy De Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Reno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Loco comes to the cage accompanied by Kaizers orchestra, Maestro. Jimmy De Loco has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy De Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Reno!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Loco doesn't manage to clinch there - Reno circles away.

Reno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. De Loco is trying to defend but Reno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Reno with the ground and pound but De Loco uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Reno is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
De Loco is looking to stand up but Reno isn't so interested in that idea.
Reno working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reno throws a big elbow that misses.
Reno trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
De Loco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reno is controlling him.
Reno missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Reno controls from within his opponent's guard.

Reno postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reno wants to control from the top but De Loco keeps moving.
De Loco looking for a sweep. Not yet De Loco, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Loco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Reno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Loco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
De Loco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Reno throws a strike but De Loco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Reno has De Loco pulled in close to control his posture.

De Loco stands and steps away. Reno gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
De Loco misses with a wild combination.
De Loco takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jimmy De Loco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reno fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. De Loco sprawls well initially but Reno persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reno missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Reno is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and De Loco reverses the position - he's now on top in Reno's guard.
Reno not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

De Loco tries to free his leg and advance position but Reno is retaining full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reno working a defensive guard here.
Reno is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Reno was stalling too much, according to the referee.
De Loco defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reno.
De Loco connects with an inside leg kick.
De Loco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Reno throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
De Loco tries to clinch but Reno moves away
and Reno makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
De Loco misses with a body shot.

Reno fails with the takedown.
De Loco shoots for a double leg takedown but Reno sprawls well. He's pushed De Loco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
De Loco lands a jab to the nose.
De Loco misses with a straight right.

Reno swats away the attempt to clinch by De Loco.
Left hook, right uppercut from De Loco.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

De Loco tries to clinch there but Reno circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Reno dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

De Loco breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - De Loco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reno on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Reno decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De Loco's guard.

Reno in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Reno won't allow De Loco to get back to his feet.
Reno throws a strike but De Loco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Reno looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Loco is one step ahead there.
De Loco tries to free his leg and advance position but Reno is retaining full guard.

De Loco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from De Loco, right into the meat.
Reno swats away the attempt to clinch by De Loco.
De Loco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jimmy De Loco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
De Loco thows a left - swing and a miss!

Reno gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Loco wants to get back to his feet.

De Loco trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Reno uses his free foot to push down on De Loco's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Loco.

Mike Reno has got the better of the ground game so far.

Reno lands a nice shot to the head.
A nice elbow there by Reno.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

De Loco is in a horrible position here. Reno smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Mike Reno showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

De Loco seems to have got his legs back now.
Reno lands a couple of elbows.
Reno trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Reno loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
De Loco is looking to stand up but Reno isn't so interested in that idea.

Reno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De Loco's guard.

Reno seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Reno must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

and Reno counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Reno looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
De Loco pushes Reno off looking to stand but Reno dives back in and keeps control.

Jimmy De Loco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reno misses with a head shot. De Loco uses the momentum to regain guard.
Mike Reno is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Loco throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Mike Reno comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Reno winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mike Reno decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
