Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Nicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lancaster comes into the arena with Bed Intruder blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Lancaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Nicks!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nicks throws out the jab.
Lancaster is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lancaster shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nicks defends it nicely.

Good leg kick by Nicks there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lancaster connects with a nice short shot to Nicks's temple.

Lancaster is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nicks has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lancaster tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nicks knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nicks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lancaster lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Lancaster drops back looking for a leg! Nicks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nicks manages to kick Lancaster off! Lancaster jumps back into Nicks's guard.
Lancaster is looking to work some ground and pound but Nicks has wrist control.
Nicks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lancaster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lancaster is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nicks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lancaster moves away.

Malcolm Lancaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nicks is looking to regain half guard here but Lancaster keeps moving and retains side control.
Lancaster misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lancaster looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nicks tries to bench press Lancaster off him but Lancaster keeps the position.

Lancaster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lancaster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lancaster throws a strike aimed at the side of Nicks's head but Nicks avoids it well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mario Nicks.

Lancaster takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

No joy there for Lancaster, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nicks scores with a hook to the body. Lancaster takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lancaster uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nicks has time to react.
Nicks throws a body punch but Lancaster moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lancaster shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lancaster was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lancaster moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nicks has worked his arm free - good work by Nicks!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Lancaster walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nicks.

Nicks looks to land a combination but Lancaster avoids it well.
Lancaster misses with a takedown attempt - Nicks sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nicks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lancaster on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Nicks has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Nicks connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Nicks looks to land a combination. Lancaster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Nicks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nicks lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nicks connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lancaster's hands.
Lancaster uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nicks.
Nicks bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lancaster's head.
Nicks swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lancaster.


Lancaster is rocked!
Nicks lands with a good body shot.
Oh Lancaster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nicks drops Lancaster with a huge uppercut! Lancaster drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Nicks is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mario Nicks!
A very excited looking Mario Nicks rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
