Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fernando Murch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Drizzt Do Urden!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do Urden shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Murch but Murch pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Do Urden misses with a wild combination.

Do Urden has closed the distance and engaged Murch in a clinch.
Murch lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Drizzt Do Urden has been cut.
Do Urden changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Murch fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Murch wants to clinch.
A head kick misses from Do Urden.

Murch closes the distance and clinches.
Murch lands an elbow just above Do Urden 's eye.
Do Urden tries to work over Murch's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Murch throws an elbow but it misses.
Murch throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Do Urden blocks it with crossed arms.
Murch scores with a knee to the head.
Murch lands a damaging elbow.
Murch throws a knee to the head but misses.
Do Urden tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Murch smiles and moves away.
Fernando Murch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drizzt Do Urden.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fight stays on the outside here - Murch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Do Urden fails to land with a series of punches.
Murch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Do Urden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Murch connects with a nasty looking knee right to Do Urden's face.


That has opened up Drizzt Do Urden's cut even more.

Do Urden changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Murch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Do Urden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Murch avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Do Urden jumps guard but Murch stands there with Do Urden around his waist. Do Urden gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Murch with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Murch blocks an uppercut.
Murch using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Do Urden has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Do Urden wants a takedown.
Do Urden tries for a takedown. No joy.
Murch is looking to control Do Urden's arms but Do Urden gets an underhook and turns him. Now Murch has his back to the cage.
Murch scores a nice knee to the body.
Do Urden has had enough of the clinch but Murch keeps him there for the moment.

Do Urden has Murch pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Do Urden pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Murch tumbling to the mat - Do Urden dives into Murch's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Do Urden wants to pass the guard but Murch is keeping the position.
Do Urden looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Murch darts in trying to clinch

and Do Urden counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fernando Murch will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Drizzt Do Urden's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Murch tries to clinch up.
Do Urden connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murch. Murch circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Murch takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Murch moves out of range of the leg kick from Do Urden.
Drizzt Do Urden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Murch moves in looking to clinch but Do Urden pushes him off.
Do Urden misses with a takedown attempt - Murch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Murch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Do Urden.
Do Urden throws a body kick that misses.
Murch chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Do Urden can pounce on him.
Murch tries to clinch up.
Murch moves in looking to clinch but Do Urden pushes him off.

Murch gets caught flat footed, as Do Urden shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Do Urden trying to control the position from guard on top but Murch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Murch keeping moving, preventing Do Urden from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Do Urden slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Drizzt Do Urden hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Do Urden takes the fight into the clinch.
Do Urden misses with a body punch.
Murch looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Do Urden tries to break the clinch but Murch is controlling the position.

Murch scores with a knee to the head.
Murch tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Murch is trying to maintain a safe position but Do Urden gets an underhook and turns Murch into the cage.
Do Urden changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Murch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Do Urden throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Do Urden keeps the fight on the outside.

Do Urden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Murch sprawls well initially but Do Urden persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Do Urden trying to control from half guard but Murch is working away.

Do Urden is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Murch defends it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Do Urden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murch keeps working.

Do Urden throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Do Urden is taking a breather. Murch says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Murch is in trouble now - Do Urden has advanced to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Poor strikes thrown by Do Urden there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Do Urden controlling his opponent.
Do Urden cracks Murch with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Do Urden thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drizzt Do Urden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Do Urden counters with a good low kick that Murch was not able to check.
Murch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Murch takes a head kick and keeps coming.


Murch is rocked!
Do Urden is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Murch flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Murch is out cold! Do Urden holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Drizzt Do Urden!
