The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vantrell gets a takedown into half guard.
Vantrell not doing much here.
Vantrell is keen to just control but Tarzan is a slippery customer.

Vantrell is working for a submission of some sort.
Vantrell is looking to advance position but Tarzan won't allow it.

Vantrell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tarzan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tarzan.

Vantrell cracks Tarzan with a solid left hand.
Vantrell tries to free his leg and advance position but Tarzan is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarzan is controlling Vantrell's posture.

Tarzan is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vantrell throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tarzan's body to avoid the submission. Tarzan has instead reached around Vantrell's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tarzan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
