The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Champion drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Champion jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Champion wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mike, who protects the arm well.
Champion swings around for an armbar but Mike sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Champion's guard.
Champion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Champion had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mike is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Champion Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mike's back instead.

Champion is looking for a rear naked choke here but Mike reverses the position brilliantly into Champion's guard!
Mike wants to get up but he can't break Champion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Champion, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
