Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rock Star kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Mills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Hall!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills shoots in for a double leg but Hall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mills shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hall but Hall pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mills decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hall trying to control here.
Hall wants to improve his position but Mills is controlling well.
Mills tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hall knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mills moves nicely into side control.
Hall is looking for a sweep.

Mills tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mills has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hall can't do much from the bottom here.

Hall trying his best to control but Mills has mounted him.
Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Mills has a good base and remains in mount.
Mills could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mills wants to control the pace but Hall is squirming around nicely.

Mills is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hall has managed to escape the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mills has hold of Hall's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hall manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Mills is breathing heavily.

Mills looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mills trying to control but Hall is having none of it.
Hall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hall blocking the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hall really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hall is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mills tries to control but Hall wriggling away.

Hall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mills.
Hall stops Mills from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Hall tries to lock up and control but Mills gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mills. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mills is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hall is surviving well by controlling Mills's body position as best he can.
Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Mills has a good base and remains in mount.

Hall is in all sorts of trouble here.

Mills has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hall has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Mills is hanging on to Hall's back as he tries to escape.

Mills is looking to control Hall but Hall is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Mills working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Hall tries to break free.

Mills looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Hall taps!
