And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ross Massey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Sational. Massey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Massey looks for a takedown but Sational sprawls well.

Sational gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Massey to score an easy takedown into full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sational throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Massey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sational pulls Massey in to control the position.
Sational manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Massey manages to get himself to full guard.
Massey controls Sational momentarily but Sational frees himself.

Massey has his feet on Sational's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Sational shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Massey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sational's guard now.

Massey is working Sational over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sational is looking for a triangle but Massey pushes his legs off easily.
Massey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sational has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Massey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Massey throws a strike but Sational rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Massey wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sational advances position into side control!
Sational trying to control the action but Massey is working from the bottom.

Sational tries to move to mount but Massey blocks the move with his legs.
Massey wants to get back to his feet but Sational drags him back down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Massey manages to get back to half guard.

Sational is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Massey defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ross Massey will probably get the nod.

Massey dives in and scores a takedown into Sational's guard.

Sational is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Massey off and has taken his back!

Massey tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Sational sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Massey to tap. Impressive finish!
