Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiny Butterbritches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Hooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hooker has chosen The Battle Hymn Of The Republic as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Butterbritches scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Butterbritches scores with a couple of short elbows.

It looks like Joseph Hooker has been cut.
Butterbritches grinds an elbow into Hooker's temple.

That has opened up Joseph Hooker's cut even more.

Hooker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Butterbritches throwing shots but Hooker is blocking nicely.

Butterbritches tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hooker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hooker bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Butterbritches is pulling down on Hooker's head. It's preventing any offense from Hooker, at least for the moment.
Hooker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Butterbritches is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hooker drops back looking for a leg! Butterbritches is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Butterbritches manages to kick Hooker off! Hooker jumps back into Butterbritches's guard.
