Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Robinson misses.

Machin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Machin wants to control from the top but Robinson keeps moving.
Machin wants to pass the guard but Robinson is keeping the position.

Machin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Robinson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Robinson has escaped and now he's on top!

Machin is looking for a choke. Robinson gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Robinson manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Machin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Machin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robinson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Machin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robinson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Robinson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Robinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Machin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Robinson is aware though and is defending well.

Robinson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machin was well out of range. Poor timing from Robinson.

Machin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Robinson cracks Machin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Machin ducks under a wild hook from Robinson.
Machin shoots in looking for a takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl out of it but Machin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Robinson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Robinson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Robinson creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Machin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Machin drops to his knees and Robinson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
