Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Burrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye of the Tiger. Burrell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Can't Touch This. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Lamotta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Stanley Burrell !
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burrell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lamotta manages to avoid it.
Lamotta thumps Burrell with a low kick.
Burrell catches Lamotta with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Burrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lamotta looks to land a combination but Burrell avoids it well.
Burrell throws a solid leg kick but Lamotta takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Burrell .
Burrell scores with a jab to the head.
Burrell throws a leg kick but Lamotta sees it coming and moves out of range.
Burrell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Burrell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A solid leg kick lands there for Lamotta.

Lamotta finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Burrell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lamotta counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A slapping body kick lands there for Lamotta.
Burrell throws a leg kick which misses Lamotta's front leg but catches the back leg as Lamotta tries to avoid it.
Burrell loads up on a big right hand but Lamotta slips the punch.
Burrell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Burrell misses with a looping right.
Burrell tries to work over Lamotta's front leg with a kick but Lamotta checks it.

Lamotta closes the distance and pushes Burrell back into the cage.

Lamotta tries to throw a body punch but Burrell avoids it by throwing Lamotta back against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Burrell 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Burrell swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Burrell pushes Lamotta back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Burrell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lamotta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Lamotta counters with a good low kick that Burrell was not able to check.
Burrell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Burrell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lamotta is out of range.
Lamotta stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burrell .
Burrell tries to work over Lamotta's front leg with a kick but Lamotta checks it.
Lamotta feints and then cracks Burrell 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burrell down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Burrell lands a nice hook to Lamotta's body. Lamotta takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Well Burrell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
