The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldsmith slips under a jab.
Goldsmith tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Melton Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Goldsmith misses with a straight left.
Melton Jr smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Goldsmith is looking to clinch.
Goldsmith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Melton Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goldsmith misses with a double jab.
Goldsmith takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Goldsmith fails to land with a series of punches.
Melton Jr misses with a body punch
and Goldsmith counters with a good low kick that Melton Jr was not able to check.
Mike Melton Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goldsmith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Melton Jr cracks Goldsmith with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Goldsmith falls to his knees and Melton Jr doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
