PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Errol Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanbu Uechi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Field comes into the arena with Best of Sakuraba blaring out of the sound system. Errol Field is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uechi fails with the takedown

and Field counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Uechi's guard now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Field is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Uechi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Field remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Uechi is not content to let Field control the position.
Field is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Uechi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Errol Field overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Uechi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Field is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Uechi.
Kanbu Uechi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Errol Field really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Condemned logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
